People are crowded into the square and on the roof tops (221). The flags, one by one, are presented to King Victor Emmanuel III who decorates them (265). "POLAR HEROES. Captain Scott and his party on the "Terra Nova" leaving Cardiff on their ill-fated expedition (279). Ships in dock (288). A tug pulls the `Terra Nova' out of the dock past a crowd-lined quayside (318ft).
